The piano duo of Rosemarie Duval-Laplante and Jean-Michel Dubé was formed in 2017. Both graduates of the Conservatoire de musique de Québec, they charm audiences with their charisma and stand out for their musical ideas and intimate sharing of the instrument. Their great complicity, on stage and in life, translates into sensitive playing and a remarkable unity of sound. Since its formation, the duo has distinguished itself both in Canada and internationally.
The duo recorded the world première of André Mathieu’s Concertino No 2 for two pianos on an album of Jean-Michel Dubé which was released in 2018 on the Espace-21 label. And in 2022, the pair released their first album for piano four hands, dedicated to the music of Fauré and Debussy on the Espace-21 label.
For this recital, the piano duo transports us to the belle époque, with music by Ravel, Gershwin, Fauré & Barber.
